Loans for Buying Climate Technologies
Obtain Attractive Financing to Purchase or Install Greenhouse Gas-Reducing Technologies for Your Organization or Community
The influx of federal and state funding towards rebuilding current infrastructure is a critical step in tackling the climate crisis. Yet equally important are investments in innovative pilot projects with the potential to serve as models of just and sustainable applications of new climate technologies. To encourage the latter, Climate Tech Finance, in partnership with the California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank (IBank), provides direct, low-interest loans of up to $30M to municipalities, schools and public agencies for terms of up to 30 years.
How it Works
We’ve designed the process to be straightforward, quick, and easy. In most cases, funding from IBank is available to borrowers within three to six months.
If you represent a public, private or nonprofit organization, begin by speaking with the Climate Tech Finance team.
Submit the application along with project specifics and financial summaries.
The Climate Tech Finance team evaluates your project, prepares forecasts of greenhouse gas emission reductions, and determine the project's social equity impacts.
If you represent a public, private, or nonprofit organization that seeks to install climate technologies, begin by speaking with the Climate Tech Finance team. Then, if the program sounds right, submit an application, and the Climate Tech Finance team will evaluate your project, prepare forecasts of greenhouse gas emission reductions, and determine the technology’s social equity impacts.
Once your application is complete, Climate Tech Finance will submit it to IBank, which will assess the project’s creditworthiness, and if it’s approved, provide funds and all administrative services over the life of the loan.
